Do you have a set of pliers? In this guide we use round nose pliers, flat nose pliers and wire cutters. Don't have a plier set yet? View our plier set at craftyourjewelry.com

Step 1 - Prepare the heart charm

Take an open jump ring and hold it with the flat nose pliers. Carefully twist the ring sideways open. Note: twist the ring sideways, not apart, otherwise it will lose its round shape.

Slide the heart charm onto the open jump ring. Then twist the ring sideways back so it is firmly closed. The heart charm is ready.

Step 2 - Prepare the pearl charm

Take the bead pin and thread 2 rice pearl beads onto it. Slide the pearl all the way to the bottom of the pin.

Take the round nose pliers and make a small round loop at the end of the pin by wrapping the pin around the jaw of the pliers. Cut off any excess wire with the wire cutters as close to the loop as possible if needed.

Take an open jump ring, open it sideways and slide it through the loop of the bead pin. Close the ring firmly again.

Step 3 - Attach the lobster clasp

Take the lobster clasp and an open jump ring. Open the jump ring sideways with the flat nose pliers. Slide the ring through the last link of one of the two link chains and through the opening of the lobster clasp. Close the ring firmly again.

Step 4 - Attach the extension chain

Take the extension chain and an open jump ring. Open the jump ring sideways with the flat nose pliers. Slide the ring through the first link of the extension chain. Close the ring firmly again.

The preparation is done. Place all components next to you so you can easily reach them.

Step 5 - Attach the wire to the link chain

Take one of the 2 link chains. Thread the wire through the last link at the other end and fold the wire double so you have two wires next to each other.

Thread a crimp bead over both wires and slide it as close as possible to the link. Squeeze the crimp bead firmly with the flat nose pliers. Make sure you have at least 1 cm of wire left at the short end.

Step 6 - String the first set of beads

Start stringing on the long piece of wire. First thread 2 spacer beads onto the wire, then 1 rice pearl. Repeat this pattern of 2 spacers and 1 pearl a total of 5 times.

You have now strung 5 pearls with spacer beads between them.

Great work!
